Self-Study 4.2 (Game Ideas)

This is a devlog for the second part of the self-study 4 of my portfolio.

I came up with two game ideas for the theme "Twin-sticks". Here they are:

1. You play as a former ninja who is now an agent, determined to take down the ‘man at the top’, a powerful figure causing chaos in the city. Once his ally, you witnessed his true nature and the destruction he was bringing. Now his intention is to get to the man before the city falls into chaos. But you must go through waves of deadly ninjas standing in your way.

The target audience is 15-40 years old, with people liking a genre of sword fighting, ninja and fast-paced game. This game would be successful if lot of people are a fan of the genre of this game, with implementation of fun gameplay mechanics, with a simple narration and goal of the game. The goal of the prototype would be to focus on gameplay, with the reason being as it’s a sword-fighting ninja style fast-paced game, the gameplay needs to be fun to keep people engaged.

2. You play as a parkour expert who is in a sticky situation with a lot of people coming your way, trying to capture you. You must jump across rooftops to avoid the people trying to capture you. How long can you last before you get caught or worse fall off the 30-storey building to your death.

The target audience is around 15-40 years old who like playing games that involves parkour and like the thrill of getting chased constantly. This game would be successful if lot of people enjoy playing games that are parkour with fun gameplay and mechanics. The goal of the prototype would be to focus on the gameplay, as it all about parkouring and running away for the chasers. Focussing on gameplay will ensure that it’s fun and to keep people engaged.
